The Quality Manager is responsible for leading quality assurance and control in a high-volume distribution environment supporting DIY retail, OEM, and wholesale manufacturing. This role ensures products meet internal specifications, customer expectations, and regulatory standards, while partnering closely with Engineering and Sourcing to drive supplier quality and continuous improvement.

This role is paying between $90,000 and $100,000 annually with the possibility of additional bonus based on performance.

Quality Oversight : Manages quality across inbound, in-process, and outbound product flows, ensuring adherence to performance, appearance, and dimensional standards.

Supplier Quality : Develops and leads supplier quality programs including audits, scorecards, trend analysis, and corrective actions to improve supplier conformance and product reliability.

Issue Resolution : Investigates product complaints, returns, and field failures to determine root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).

Compliance and Inspection : Ensures compliance with applicable standards, maintains traceability procedures, and supports recall readiness for regulated or high-risk products.

Training and Leadership : Provides training on inspection procedures and defect identification, leads quality team development, and supports new product onboarding with appropriate inspection plans.

Systems and Tools : Maintains accurate records of inspections and non-conformances using ERP / WMS systems, and leverages quality tools such as RCA, 5 Whys, and Fishbone diagrams.

Cross-functional Collaboration : Works closely with Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain to resolve issues quickly, prevent recurrence, and enhance customer satisfaction.

Qualifications : Requires a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Quality, Engineering, or a related field, and 5+ years of quality management in a manufacturing or distribution environment. Preferred experience includes plumbing or building materials, ISO environments, international supplier management, and certifications such as Six Sigma, Lean, or ASQ.

Work Environment : Based in a distribution center and quality lab, with regular warehouse presence and occasional domestic and international travel for audits and product onboarding.

Success Profile : A strong candidate brings analytical thinking, attention to detail, hands-on leadership, and a collaborative, results-driven approach to managing complex quality operations in a dynamic, multi-channel business.
