AyurPrana is a wellness organization that promotes Ayurvedic healing, yoga, nutrition, and other ancient and integrative sciences through online webinars, educational courses, and online health and lifestyle consultations.
SoHum Mountain Healing is an elite Ayurvedic retreat center, featuring Panchakarma retreats and other healing journey retreats.
Position Statement
An Ayurvedic Advanced Practitioner is able to care for the mind, body, and soul of our clients through the ancient sciences of Ayurveda, while also weaving in their understanding of Western pathophysiology and integrating modern healing techniques (whether it be functional medicine concepts or probiotics and newer supplements).
We are looking for someone who is passionate about our clients' healing journey, someone compassionate yet motivating in their approach, someone who is a life-long learner that is always seeking to expand their knowledge base, and someone who can be a true team player that brings support and joy to the team.
This individual must be proficient in their understanding of Ayurveda, in terms of ahar, vihar, samprapti, and chikitsa.
Must have graduated from a certified Ayurvedic Practitioner program recognized by The National Ayurvedic Medical Association (NAMA) in the US or a Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine Surgery (BAMS) degree from India.
As we strive to provide care to our clients that is effective, consistent, and reliable, this individual should be of the lineage of tradition that AyurPrana is founded upon (namely, that of Vasant Lad, BAM&S, MASc).
Primary duties
Consultations - initial consultation with proper assessment, education on baseline, foundational steps, follow-ups based on the initial consultation.
Ability to craft panchakarma programs and guide panchakarma with the guidance of a senior practitioner. Ability to craft SoHum Healing journeys with the structure provided at SoHum.
- Coaching of entry Ayurvedic Practitioners
- Support in other services (home cleanse, group experiences)
- Building knowledge base
- Participation in weekly grand-rounds
- Facilitating the Ayurvedic Institute faculty in a variety of areas such as :
- Supervision of student clinic
- Working on administrative / confidential items
- Planning of activities and events
- Based on skill set potential teaching opportunities
- Facilitating AyurPrana products in a variety of areas such as :
- Supporting clients that are members of any of the other products in their learning and application of Ayurveda in their day-to-day life, whether it be in-person, by phone, or by chat
- Supporting the creation of content- on paper, for the website, for the courses, or on camera
- home cleanse clients through the app or in LIVE sessions
- Cross training in other areas of the company and its affiliates
Requirements : Qualifications
Qualifications
- Graduate of an ASP2 - level accredited program and have had several years of experience practicing Ayurveda on a consistent basis OR
- Graduate of an AD program
- Must be able to demonstrate standard level of proficiency of this level in the practical interview and examination
- Proficiency in ASP 2 - level material
- Comfortable with conducting consultations in a fluid manner and synthesize plans efficiently.
- Technology competency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and ability to handle and manage electronic health record systems.
- Build rapport with clients and have good bedside manner.
- Time management - complete preparation for consultations, the consultation itself, and post-consultation tasks in a timely and efficient manner
- Must have a strong desire for wellness and healing.
- Must be detail oriented.
- Able to communicate effectively and clearly.
- Ability to multitask.
- Ability to remain in calm and open demeanor while delivering quick and accessible service.
- Background and interest in yoga, meditation, Ayurveda, wellness is highly preferred.
- Required to work on-site.
- Availability outside of normal office hours when needed- for instance answering client queries in the evening or on the weekend if needed, visiting clients at the retreat center after hours if needed, supporting the school in weekend marketing events or webinars.
- We are looking for individuals that are : positive, harmonious, proactive, team oriented, solution based, and willing to do everything.

Physical Requirements - (not limited to)
- Must be able to move, transport, or position items up to 25 lbs.
- Mostly sedentary position; however, must be able to move, ascend / descend, or traverse.
- Must be able to communicate, detect, converse with, discern, convey, express oneself, and exchange information with or without accommodation.
- Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing in English.
- Must be able to work around moderate noise level.
