The Warehouse Coordinator ensures the efficient daily operation of the warehouse by managing inventory, overseeing warehouse maintenance, and coordinating logistics.
This role involves handling the receipt, storage, and issuance of materials, equipment, and supplies, while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Management :
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring smooth receipt, storage, and distribution of materials and equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the warehouse and storage areas.
Inventory Control :
- Manage inventory levels, including parts requisitions, stock replenishments, and purchase order creation and follow-up.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
Logistics Coordination :
- Schedule and oversee truck and warehouse inventories to ensure accurate stock levels and timely distribution.
- Coordinate with vendors and internal departments to address inventory needs and delivery schedules.
Yard Management :
Supervise the maintenance of the yard, including managing scrap and waste, and coordinating pickup and disposal.
Uniforms and Consignment :
- Manage the inventory and distribution of uniforms.
- Oversee consignment inventory, ensuring accurate tracking and management.
Warranty and Claims :
Handle warranty submissions and track the status of claims.
Stock Handling and Inspection :
- Pack and unpack items, ensuring proper storage and labeling.
- Inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting issues to supervisors and addressing faulty or defective components.
Safety and Compliance :
- Follow and enforce safety procedures, maintaining compliance with safety standards and company policies.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and according to prescribed standards.
Team Collaboration :
- Actively participate in team activities and professional development opportunities.
- Communicate effectively with team members, vendors, and supervisors to resolve issues and improve warehouse operations.
Administrative Duties :
- Maintain accurate records of inventory and operational activities.
- Adhere to company policies regarding work hours, leave, and performance expectations.
Additional Responsibilities :
Perform other duties as assigned by management to support overall warehouse efficiency.
Qualifications
- Background Check : Ability to pass a thorough background check and drug screening.
- Physical Requirements : Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance. Able to perform physically demanding tasks including reaching, bending, and carrying.
- Manual Dexterity : Adept at using hands and arms to handle, grasp, and operate equipment.
- Communication Skills : Strong interpersonal skills with a service-oriented and respectful communication style.
- Equipment Operation : Experience or willingness to learn to operate warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks, floor lifts, and forklifts.
- Computer Skills : Basic proficiency with computers for data entry and inventory management.
Working Conditions
- Environment : The role may involve working indoors or outdoors, with exposure to various environmental conditions including weather elements and outdoor particles.
