Are you passionate about law and have a knack for litigation? We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Litigation Associate to join our robust legal team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive legal professional to further their career in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
The successful candidate will be integral to our team, providing critical support in a variety of litigation matters. This position requires a minimum of 1+ years of experience as a licensed attorney, with a specific focus on general civil litigation.
Responsibilities :
As a Permanent Litigation Associate, your primary responsibilities will be :
1. Managing all phases of the litigation process from investigation, pleadings, and discovery to pre-trial, trial, settlement, and appeal.
2. Drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, reports, and other legal documents.
3. Conducting depositions of parties and witnesses.
4. Researching and interpreting laws, rulings, and regulations applicable to cases.
5. Collaborating with other attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants, and liaising with clients to prepare for trial.
6. Developing strategies and arguments in preparation for presentation of cases.
7. Representing clients in court or before government agencies, presenting evidence to defend or prosecute in civil or criminal litigation.
8. Negotiating settlements in civil disputes.
Qualifications :
To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications :
1. A Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the State Bar of Texas
3. A minimum of 1+ years of litigation experience, with experience in insurance defense preferred
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
5. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
6. The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
7. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
8. High ethical standards and professional integrity.
9. Proficiency in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
