Senior Director of Operations - Vacation Rental Management

As the Senior Director of Operations, it will be essential for you to integrate and elevate our people, processes, and priorities.

The Senior Director of Operations will need the ability to creatively problem solve as issues arise and have the foresight to integrate ideas and systems that will streamline our operations and improve efficiencies.

This position will require you to be a natural leader who works well with people and can motivate and delegate effectively.

As the Senior Director of Operations we will look to you as our strategic planner, identifying weak spots in the operations procedures and effectively solving them.

Responsibilities :

  • Evaluate performance by analyzing and interpreting data and metrics.
  • Responsible for developing and reviewing operational systems.
  • Ensure that company policy, protocols, and standards are followed.
  • Analyze company data and look for ways to improve efficiencies.
  • Develop and implement best practices, SOPs and a performance / operation metrics system.
  • Maximize employee engagement through the oversight and implementation of an incentive plan.
  • Responsible for recruiting all operations staff and setting them up for success within their department.
  • Hire the most qualified candidates within the operational scope across all divisions.
  • Develop, train, and mentor current and future managers.
  • Direct and manage the activities of the Operations staff members and create a healthy professional and organized work environment that incentives staff on performance / operations metrics.
  • Ensure all staff is properly trained and have the tools and materials to effectively perform their responsibilities.
  • Oversee daily, weekly, and monthly operations schedule, allocation of staff, activities, tasks, and the work of vendors to deliver outstanding service.
  • Manage property issues that arise with guests in residence; ensure property issues are responded to rapidly and ensure repairs and maintenance issues are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Responsible for overall guest satisfaction.
  • Monitor and control resources to minimize waste.
  • Prepare and plan for the seasonality of the business.
  • Establish policies that promote company culture and vision.
  • Lead employees to encourage maximum performance and dedication.
  • Responsible for keeping operation spend within given budget, approving payroll, weekly invoices and other financial reports.
  • Develop and implement cross-training programs between Departments.
  • Hold the leadership team accountable for results aligned with our business goals.
  • Develop comprehensive goals for company growth and explore new revenue streams and opportunities.

Qualifications :

  • Proven experience as a General Manager, Director of Operations, Vice President, or a similarly relevant role.
  • Varied experiences and responsibilities in Operations, Finance, and Human Resources are strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of IT / Business infrastructure, strong technology, and computer skills, including Excel, Word, Google Docs skills;

able to learn new systems and applications quickly.

  • Working knowledge of data analysis and performance / operation metrics.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and lead teams and drive change.
  • Able to multi-task and juggle multiple priorities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving.
  • Previous experience in vacation rentals or the hospitality industry is strongly desired.
  • Experience building and leading high-performing teams, including the ability to recognize and cultivate rising talent required.
  • Computer literate and able to use web-based apps.
  • Ability to work with an extremely fast-paced growing company with aggressive growth goals year over year.
  • Understanding of and ability to create a healthy organizational culture is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred.
  • Advanced degree, MBA or similar, preferred.
  • Must be able to travel at least two times per month.
  • A relentless focus on delivering the highest level of service to rental guests and homeowners.
  • Demonstrate the ability to grow and learn quickly and the potential to assume a high-level executive role.

Pay : $115,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year

Schedule :

  • 8 hour shift.
  • Holidays.
  • Monday to Friday.
  • On call.

Ability to Relocate :

Nashville, TN : Relocate before starting work (Required).
