The Program Support Specialist- Texas Rising Starwill organize, schedule, coordinate and implement the activities and support functions of the Provider Services and Quality Initiatives programs for Dallas and Southeast Texas.
Works under the direction of the TRS Program Manager.

Position Details
Responsibilities
- Tracks mentor work assignments and ensures that documentation is received timely and uploaded to the document imaging system and state system.
- Maintains schedule of Texas Rising Star Assessor availability. Schedules site visits with the assessor and early learning program.
Sends confirmation of scheduled assessments to program, assessor, and mentor. Gathers completed documentation from assessors and follows up if not submittedtimely.
Notates application and assessment activity in case management system. Notifies program staff when new interest forms are received as well as assessment results and any follow up needed based on TRS Assessor’s review.
Updates state database with Texas Rising Star certification information, and forwards request to Provider Services to process updated agreements when needed.
- Manages assignments of early learning programs to mentors, assessors, and support staff in the state system.
- Receives invoices and required documents from TRS Assessors and corresponds with Workforce Solutions for payment of services.
- Conducts quarterly licensing screenings for certified Texas Rising Star programs and routes to supervisor for review. Notates activity and uploads copies of screening forms in case management system and state system.
Sends correspondence and copy of screening forms to early learning program.
May represent CCG at community training events, conferences, and meetings as assigned
Education and Experience
- High School diploma required, Associates Degree in Business, Project Management, or another related field preferred.
- 2 years’ experience working in an office setting, project coordination, and / or program support functions
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
- Program and work planning, organization
- Coordination and implementation of the operations, activities, and support functions of an assigned program.
- Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook for written communication, preparing reports, tracking activity, developing forms, and developing presentation materials.
Document imaging systems.
- Demonstrate initiative and skills to work within a team
- Demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills
- Has knowledge of proper compositional practices to aid in writing and proofreading. Testing may be required.
- Demonstrate openness to learn from others
- Exhibit friendly and professional demeanor
- Possess excellent phone etiquette
- Plan, organize, coordinate, and implement the activities, educational services, and support functions of assigned program or service
- Interpret, apply, and explain rules, regulations, policies, and procedures

- Plan and organize work to meet schedules and timelines
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work
- Demonstrate attendance sufficient to complete the duties of the position as required
- Complete routine tasks thoroughly, accurately, and with attention to detail
Travel and Compliance Requirements
- Must have a valid Texas driver's license
- Driving record must comply with CCG's automobile insurance carrier requirements
- Must have liability insurance coverage and reliable personal transportation
- Ability to travel locally or out of town as required
- Mileage reimbursement is offered when applicable
- Must successfully meet all compliance background check requirements for federal funding throughout employment
