Element Consulting is seeking experienced Project Managers to assist in managing Traffic and transportation related projects for LA County Public Works, Project Management Division III.

Candidates are required to have at least 10 years (PM II) or 15 years (PM III) of progressive experience in managing municipal infrastructure projects through permitting, construction, and close-out.

Candidates with experience managing / constructing roadway infrastructure will be given preference.

Candidates are required to possess the following :

1. Minimum 10 years (PM II) or 15 years (PM III) of project management experience.

2. Education background in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.

3. Effective oral and written communication skills.

4. Work experience in project planning and development.

5. Ability to independently manage all aspects of a project.

6. Ability to develop and control project scope.

7. Ability to develop and maintain project budgets.

8. Ability to develop and review project schedules.

9. Skilled in reviewing and coordinating the preparation of construction documents.

10. Ability to effectively facilitate project team and client meetings.

11. Ability to effectively negotiate and prepare change orders.

12. Ability to effectively monitor and coordinate construction activities with the various project stakeholders.

13. Ability to adapt and respond effectively to project issues and challenges.

14. Ability to set and manage project expectations.

15. Must be knowledgeable in CEQA / NEPA.
