Supervisor Payroll
SUMMARY OFJOB
This position providessupervision to the payroll team to ensure timely and accuratepayment and reporting for a multistate payroll special payrollssuch as severance pay and some bonuses.
Position also reviewsmetrics and audit controls for compliance. This position worksclosely with other teams within the Payroll department and acrossthe organization and participates in yearend Payroll functions aswell as exercises knowledge of Payroll tax and law in daily work.

SALARY : USD$55000 $75000 / yr
ESSENTIALDUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
i.Oversees the daily operation of payroll according to establishedwritten processes procedures and standards including but notlimited to large bonus processing and yearend reporting.
ii. Oversee biweekly payroll processing.
iii. Ensures that all deadlines are met including theprocessing and review of established audit reports and coordinationwith the Payroll Support Team for system maintenance andschedules.
iv. Enforces cutoff time for payrollprocessing.
v. Reviews payroll protocols andprocedures including but not limited to manual checks on cyclepayroll processing and time clock records.
vi.Works with the Payroll Support Team on biweekly ProcessingWorksheets and SOX documents.
vii. Ensuresappropriate backup documentation for biweekly payroll by theprocessing division.
viii. Trains and implementsprocess improvements for the Payroll Coordinators.
ix. Recommends changes to create efficiencies and enhanceperformance of Payroll Department to Manager and / orDirector.
x. Develops and maintains closerelationships and open communication with all areas of payroll andfield locations.
xi. Performs random reviews foradherence to coordinator desk organization and maintenance withspecial emphasis on department standards capturing metrics andproviding feedback.
xii. Develops researches andmaintains current knowledge of regulatory issues affectingPayroll.

TEAM MANAGEMENT
i. Provide leadership to direct reports.
ii. Knows understands implements follows and communicatesto teammates all employment policies and procedures awards andother opportunities within company and foster a positive workenvironment.
iii. Ensures all employmentprocesses are completed timely and in compliance with policy andany applicable laws including but not limited to ePCNs PerformanceDevelopment Reviews teammate personnel file maintainedetc.
iv. Facilitates teammatedevelopment.
v. Maintains familiarity with andcommunicate to teammates DaVita programs impactingteammates.
vi. Manages all teammate employmentactivity including but not limited to hiring promoting jobperformance evaluations and disciplinary actions with appropriateapprovals as required
vii. Reports performancemetrics to Payroll Manager.
viii. Addressesteammate relations issues appropriately and escalate to Manager asnecessary.
ix. Provides work direction fordepartment teammates.
x. Understands basic wageand hour laws federal state and local laws and regulations andlegislation affecting employment.
xi. Reviewsand approves time cards of direct reports for biweeklypayroll.
xii. Develops and conducts educationalprograms to keep teammates uptodate on policies new laws andregulations impacting work and other information necessary tomaintain teammates knowledge of department processes andgoals.
xiii. Maintains and communicates facilityemergency management programs and ability to act swiftlyconfidently in an emergency.
MINIMUMQUALIFICATIONS
i. Educationlicenses certifications and experience required to fulfill theessential duties include computer skills as required.
ii. High school diploma or equivalent required
iii. Bachelors degree in related area preferred
iv. Minimum of three (3) years payroll experience in amultistate multiEIN environment required including :
v. Demonstrated ability to apply relevant laws andprocesses accurately and with sound judgment in varyingsituations
vi. Demonstrated working knowledge ofpayroll processes procedures systems in a highvolume fast pacedproduction environment
vii. Demonstrated abilityto maintain compliance with payroll laws and regulations regardingtaxation garnishments overtime etc
viii. CPP(Certified Payroll Professional) designation preferred
ix. Two (2) to four (4) years payroll and supervisoryrelated experience required
x. Intermediatecomputer skills and proficiency in MS Word and Outlook required;intermediate proficiency in largescale electronic payroll systemrequired;
workday experience preferred; PeopleNet experiencepreferred; advanced skills and proficiency in MS Excel required;basic proficiency in PowerPoint strongly preferred
xi. Experience with process flowredesign / improvements
