Assists in the orientation and training of new staff members and acts as a resource person. Is able to cross train in other areas and willing to float to fulfill hospital needs.
Participates in department QI studies, Inservices, and meetings. Recognizes the signs and symptoms of stroke and calling a stroke alert overhead.
Verbalizes stroke alert process. Assesses and maintains airway, assists with intubation, transport of the intubated stroke patient.
