Robot Welder I - 2nd Shift

Position Description

Performs a variety of basic welding in all positions to ensure components are being welded to engineered specifications.

Job Responsibilities

• Sets welding machine voltage and wire speed for proper fusion of metals following standard work methods and detailed drawings.
• Welds assemblies to engineering specifications
• Performs basic maintenance of welding equipment to ensure proper working order.
• Inspects weldments for obvious defects such as but not limited to : weld spatter, rough welds, missing welds and sharp corners / edges.
• Performs other duties as assigned

Job Skills Requirements

• Basic reading, writing and math skills. Basic blueprint reading preferred.
• Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and / or location

Education

High School diploma

Experience Requirements

Previous experince preferred

Physical & Environmental Requirements

Moderate physical demand; often lifting / moving average weight (25 to 50 lbs / 11-27 kgs), and occasionally lifting heavy weight materials (up to 70 lbs)Ability to stand and / or walk constantly over a full work shift (8-12 hours)Ability to perform occasional to frequent pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, twisting, crawling and / or reaching over a full work shift (8-12 hours)Somewhat disagreeable or hazardous conditions.
