Gear Cuttin g Machinist Roscoe, IL
Our client in Roscoe, IL is seeking experienced Gear Cutting Machinists to join their production team. If you have experience with gear shaping, gear grinding, or gear hobbing, this opportunity is for you.

Responsibilities of the Gear Cuttin g Machinist :
- Set up and operate gear grinding machines
- Perform inspections using Vari-Roll, pin measurement, and visual checks
- Expedite parts to the next operation
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Communicate with coworkers and supervisors to ensure production flow
- Determine when tooling needs replacement or reconditioning
- Assist in determining tooling and fixturing needs
- Take parts to inspection when required
- Monitor part size and quality using inspection methods
- Read and analyze blueprints and travelers
- Complete all necessary paperwork accurately and on time
Gear Cuttin g Machinist Requirements and Qualifications :
- Knowledge of T / K gear solver and departmental machine capabilities
- Basic gear inspection equipment knowledge
- Familiarity with materials and tooling used in gear cutting
- Strong communication skills to assist and train coworkers
- Basic math and geometry skills
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Experience with gear cutting machinery, including gear shapers, grinders, or hobbers, required
- Willingness to collaborate with the team and contribute to a positive work environment
Pay for Gear Cuttin g Machinist : $15-$32 / hour.
