JOB SUMMARY :
Responsible for the implementation and on-going support of sourcing strategies that are aligned with company goals for one or more summaries.
Assist with managing a vendor base for the purpose of improving quality, delivery, and price.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Implement and monitor sourcing strategies that address cost, quality, and service expectations for assigned summary(s).
- Assist with contract negotiations as needed. Provide financial analysis, cost modeling, and spend analysis and reporting in order to identify cost saving opportunities and cost increase avoidance strategies.
Assist with identifying and developing new sourcing opportunities, both domestic and international.
- Foster and maintain positive working relationships with existing vendor base.
- Research and understand vendor capabilities, the supply market, and market trends.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS :
Education :
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Technical / Other Skills Required :
- Experience using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams
- Strong analytical abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Team player with strong collaborative approach
