Sun Prairie, WI home base - travel nationally 60-75 nights per year ...
$120-140K base salary
How often do you come across an opportunity to join a niche Engineering Services company focused on project management / installation of manufacturing systems for clients across the US?
Our client has been in business for just over 30 years and they are expanding their team! They are looking to add an Electrical Controls Manager to bring a new skill set.
Currently, they work with several controls / electrical subcontractors to complete their projects as they do not have someone internally with the knowledge of electrical and controls components to properly lead those individuals.
The Electrical Controls Manager will work as a part of a larger project management team. They will not be expected to lead a project solely, but rather serve as the internal controls / electrical expert to assist with any questions and drive that side of the project.
Ideally, we are seeking a candidate with experience working in controls for food manufacturing companies but could be flexible outside of the industry depending on the specific experience.
If this sounds like you, please continue reading for more information!
Company Highlights :
- In business for over 30 years with little to no turnover on their team
- Extremely collaborative and team-driven work environment
- Rapidly growing company with this role serving as a growth point
Responsibilities :
- Help define scope(s) for the electric controls aspects for various projects
- Develop internal budget and proposal with the support of the Business Development Team for controls projects
- Manage (and build) vendor resources and oversee the deliverable of controls work
- Oversee all controls activities
- 30% (70-75 nights per year) travel to client sites for direct troubleshooting / management of subcontractors
Qualifications :
- 5 Years of related experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience) preferred
- Knowledge of industry, market, and USDA and FDA Guidelines preferred, but not immediately required
- Proficient with Allen Bradley PLCs (Siemens helpful), programming, and applications of related equipment and systems
