Job Description and Duties

PARK MAINTENANCE WORKER I (PERMANENT INTERMITTENT) GOLD FIELDS DISTRICT / AUBURN STATE RECREATION AREA

The reporting location for this position is the Maintenance Shop at Auburn State Recreation Area in Auburn, CA. This position will work under the supervision of the Park Maintenance Supervisor.

This position will be responsible for maintenance of the Auburn State Recreation Area Facilities and trail systems throughout the sector including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, masonry, and erosion control.

When delegated by the Sector Superintendent, the incumbent may also function in a lead-person capacity over various special work groups, California Conservation Corps, inmate crews, volunteer projects, and seasonal staff assigned to maintenance on a regular basis.

This position may work up to 1500 hours per year.

The incumbent’s work schedule will be Monday to Friday from 7 : 00 a.m. to 3 : 00 p.m.

This position requires a valid Class C driver’s license. You must answer the questions addressing your driver’s license on your application.

The selected candidate is required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan fingerprinting prior to appointment.

This position is designated as not telework eligible.

Working Conditions

  • Typical work activities involve frequent periods of bending, stooping, and lifting.
