Job Title : Production Planner
Job Description
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement detailed production schedules to meet customer demands and optimize resource utilization.
- Work closely with customers to understand their requirements, manage expectations, and ensure timely delivery of products.
- Utilize customer portals to track order status, address any issues, and communicate updates effectively.
- Ensure production schedules account for thorough quality checks and compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with various departments, including operations, procurement, engineering, and quality, to ensure smooth and
efficient production flow.
- Track and analyze production metrics using ERP systems to identify areas for improvement.
- Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce lead times, and meet delivery deadlines.
- Manage inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods to prevent shortages or excess stock.
- Provide regular updates to customers on production schedules, changes, and potential challenges.
- Analyze customer demand patterns and work with sales teams to forecast future demand accurately.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in business, Operations Management, or a related field, or equivalent proven experience as a Production
Planner in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on meeting customer needs.
- Proven experience in working with customer portals and managing customer relationships.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles is a plus.
- Experience using ERP Systems (Epicor)
