The Market Sales Director is the sales driver for the market. This person works with Store Managers and Community Connections Directors to drive the business.
This role drives the store manager performance and trains all associates on sales techniques during every visit. This role analyzes and understands the conversion rates and key performance indicators for each store and holds those managers accountable for their goals by building action plans and following up on the outcomes of those action plans.
Primary Accountabilities / Job Responsibilities :
- Train all associates on sales driving during every visit.
- Work with Outside Sales Director to analyze local markets for areas of opportunity and ensure managers are making positive impacts on the community.
- Analyze data on KPIs and Conversion hold stores accountable for hitting expected metrics.
- Roll up top and bottom 5 stores along with action plans to Market President weekly.
- Partner with HR Director on Sales Performance Improvement Plans with underperforming managers.
- Communicate with the merchant team when stores have aging inventory or need to transfer inventory to another store.
- Ensure store compliance in capturing customer profile information which includes cell / phone, name, email, zip code.
- Attendance and support of local sales driving events where necessary.
- Complete Sales Checklist in every store visit.
- Labor Management reviewing and approving schedules on a weekly basis to maximize conversion.
- Labor Rollups and reporting holding stores accountable for labor goals.
- Hold stores accountable for brand standards.
- Verify and change locks / cores with every key holder turn.
- Filling in and / or coordinating to fill in schedule gaps in stores.
- Coordinate with Marketing for large scale promotional support (radio ads, remotes, billboards, etc.).
Skills, Knowledge, and Qualifications :
- Minimum of 2 years of Sales Driving experience in a retail environment as a market leader (multi-unit).
- Demonstrated efficiency in Microsoft suite, specifically Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organization and planning skills.
- Ability to prioritize, schedule, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to handle multiple activities, projects, and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
