Position : Adult Group Home Staff Member - Location : Missoula, MT, US - Company : Winds of Change Responsibilities :
- Engage with residents and oversee daily household tasks.
- Both full-time and part-time positions are open for applicants. Additional Details :
- The Group Home operates on 12-hour shifts, offering flexibility with day and overnight options.
- Day shifts : 6 am to 6 pm; Night shifts : 6 pm to 6 am. Responsibilities :
- Evaluate and analyze the challenges impacting independent living or community integration of residents
- Support individuals in enhancing their communication abilities
- Recognize and apply strategies for managing symptoms effectively
- Establish and cultivate social support networks for residents
- Maintain cleanliness in common areas of the group home
- Assist in the distribution of medications as required
- Customize skills training for residents tailored to their home, work, education, leisure, and social needs
- Provide immediate crisis intervention and respond to the 24-hour crisis line
- Supervise the preparation of three nutritious daily meals
- Adhere to the transitional treatment plan devised by the manager
- Demonstrate consistent attendance and punctuality
- Ensure timely completion of all necessary documentation
- Engaging in verbal communication with clients
- Performing tasks such as sitting, standing, walking, and stretching arms and legs Qualifications :
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1 year working in a supervised setting with people having severe disabling mental illness preferred
- College-level courses in mental health / psych preferred
- Lifting or moving objects weighing up to 25 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds
- Requires good vision, encompassing close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, with a strong ability to concentrate
- Regular attendance is a must for this role Compensation : $17 - $18 hourly
