Shift : 36 hours / week, 6 : 30pm-7 : 00am

Overview :

The Monitoring Technician is responsible for on-going surveillance of patient cardiac monitors and provides RNs and / or clinicians with immediate notification of any changes in cardiac rhythms. Reviews patient information to determine normal heart rhythm pattern, current patterns, and prior variances. Works cooperatively as part of a team. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Qualifications :

• Education : High school diploma, G.E.D. and / or current Mercy coworker.
• Monitor tech course completion and / or passing score of 85% on monitor tech competency exam.
• Certifications : CRAT certification within 1 year of hire.
• Other :
• Basic computer skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to multi-task is essential.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to make quick decisions under pressure is a must.
• Preferred Experience : Experience preferred but not mandatory.
