Position : Adjunct Lecturer - Art Therapy
Department : Visual, Performing, and Media Arts
Classification : Part-time, Non-benefit eligible
Brief overview of duties : The Department of Visual, Performing, and Media Arts at Benedictine University is seeking a
qualified adjunct faculty in Art Therapy (Art / Psychology programs). This is a part-time, adjunct position, with appointments
made for one semester at a time and the possibility of renewal. Compensation will be commensurate with experience and
qualifications. The instructor should be passionate about teaching, engaging students in meaningful discussions, and fostering

RequiredQualifications :
- Master’s degree in art therapy required, preferred
- Hold an ATR-BC and master’s level mental health license
- Professional practice as a registered art therapist preferred
- Teaching experience at the university level preferred
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Ability to teach in face-to-face, remote, and online modalities, as needed
