Northwest Container Services , a Waste Connections company, is looking for an experienced and motivated Maintenance and Repair Billing Clerk to join the team in Portland, OR.
working out of the St. Johns office.
We are looking for a highly detail-oriented individual with a strong work ethic who mostly enjoys working on a singular level but also in a team environment.
This position is responsible for ensuring that all customer work orders reflect the correct maintenance and repair charges and are posted to the customer’s account accurately and timely.
Schedule is Monday - Friday
Shift is 7 : 00 AM - 3 : 30 PM
Wage is $22.00 / HR to $26.00 / HR DOE

Responsibilities :
- Extremely detail oriented and maintain a high level of organization.
- Effective time management skills and manage your workload appropriately with minimum guidance.
- Daily Maintenance and Repair billing which includes reviewing daily hours and work completed from our service department, compiling data, and entering into multiple billing systems.
- Research account service pricing for proper billing and make needed corrections.
- Pulling customer data and updating spreadsheets for daily tracking activity to provide to controllers.
- Track specific customer approval requirement details per their contracts and provide same to customers directly.
- Monthly invoice billing support.
- Provide back-up support and cross training for department positions.
Experience :
- 2+ years prior accounting experience.
- Prior experience working with Excel.
- Must possess a good understanding of basic accounting principles.
- Good verbal and written communication.
- Willing to learn and help controllers when needed.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Self-motivated and detail oriented.
- Understanding of truck, container, and chassis parts preferred
