Job Description
Duties
Duties include but are not limited to : Assist library patrons at the Circulation Desk and / or study areas.Retrieve returned materials from outdoor book drops.
Shelve and retrieve all types of library materials.Use the computerized library system to check materials in and out.Assist patrons in the use of library equipment (copy machine, printer, etc.
Assist with opening and closing of the library.Answer informational, materials-related, and directional queries by phone or in-person.
Refer patron-driven questions to librarians or staff when appropriate.Record statistics.
Other duties as assigned.
- Qualifications
- Preferred Qualifications : Demonstrates the capacity to work well independently and with others.Demonstrates the capacity to be responsible and report to work on time and as scheduled.
Demonstrates the ability to use computer; type; alphabetize; take / follow directions from a supervisor.Demonstrates the ability to interact with library users.
Required Qualifications :
Undergraduate students must be registered / enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall / Spring units.Post-baccalaureate students in a graduate program must be registered in a minimum of four (4) Fall / Spring units.
Must have received and accepted Financial Aid award for the current semester / year in which you are applying.
