We are looking for an Engineering Manager, Machine Learning to lead our team that develops cutting-edge AI-powered solutions for construction management.

You will be responsible for leading a dynamic team, delivering models that create customer value, and ensuring the quality, performance, and reliability of our solutions.

You will manage a team of diverse and talented software engineers, machine learning engineers, and data scientists, providing them with guidance, feedback, and mentorship.

As an Engineering Manager, Machine Learning , at Procore Technologies, you will have an opportunity to apply exciting advancements in machine learning to problems in construction management.

Imagine creating image search capabilities to allow construction professionals to find images quickly, extracting data from documents to help construction professionals improve their workflows, and predicting trends in construction sites to mitigate risk.

This position reports to the Director, Machine Learning and will be based in our office in Austin, TX. We're looking for someone to join us immediately.

What you'll do :

• Plan, execute, and deliver the roadmap for AI Studio South, aligning with the product vision and customer needs
• Manage the full software development lifecycle, from design and development to testing and deployment
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, design, engineering, and stakeholders from other divisions, to ensure the data products are meeting expectations
• Lead, coach, and motivate a team of software engineers, machine learning engineers, and data scientists, fostering a culture of innovation, excellence, and accountability
• Establish and enforce best practices, standards, and processes for model creation, explainability, and experiment tracking
• Monitor and troubleshoot the performance, availability, and security of data pipelines
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, providing regular updates and feedback

What we are looking for :

• 5-10 years of experience in machine learning engineering, preferably in a cloud-based environment
• 1-5 years of experience in leading engineering teams
• Strong knowledge of software engineering principles, methodologies, and tools
• Proficient in one or more programming languages, such as Python, Java, C#, or JavaScript
• Experience with AWS and Azure cloud services and APIs
• Experience with generative AI, machine learning, or natural language processing is a plus
• A strong track record of delivering high-quality software products and managing complex software environments
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
• Passionate about software engineering and AI innovation and delivering these innovations into a production environment

QualificationsAdditional Information

Base Pay Range $183,600 - $252,450. Eligible for Bonus Incentive Compensation. Procore is committed to offering competitive, fair, and commensurate compensation, and has provided an estimated pay range for this role.

Actual compensation will be based on a candidate's job-related skills, experience, education or training, and location.
