The position is located in Lenexa, KS.
Responsibilities
- Perform integrated engineering processes to fulfill project requirements and achieve target dates.
- Author and review designs, specifications, analyses, and drawings in compliance with engineering principles and applicable standards.
- Prepare and review design concept drawings for equipment using input from various technical disciplines.
- Recognizes, defines, and resolves problems within assigned area.
- Compliance with strict quality assurance standards and on-time delivery.
- Travel (less than 20% of time).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited, four-year university.
- Minimum of five years of experience in design.
- Knowledge, application, and understanding of ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Codes.
- Excellent attention to detail and capability for producing error-free documents.
- Excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of engineering design practices and principles (e.g., interference checks, tolerance stack-ups, fits, GD&T).
- Experience with using industry codes to develop equipment design.
- Experience working with engineers and fabricators to develop designs and drawings.
- Experience in the preparation of P&ID, PFD, and General Arrangement drawings for skid-mounted or permanent equipment packages.
