What is in it for you :

Reporting to the Director of Front Office responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following :

  • Assist the Director of Front Office in all aspects of the department and ensure service standards are followed
  • Lead the department in the absence of the Director of Front Office
  • Provides managerial support for Reception Royal Service and Guest Services in the daily operational duties for these areas
  • Consistently offer professional friendly and engaging service
  • Ensure proper staffing and scheduling of all Front Office colleagues in accordance to productivity guidelines
  • Maximize rooms revenue through participating in yield management meetings and implementing agreed upon Revenue Management strategies and practices
  • Conduct regular departmental meetings
  • Assist in preparation annual budgets and forecasts and administer in a fiscally responsible manner
  • Oversee group business reviewing and ensuring details of group resumes are met
  • Oversee the selection training and development of all Colleagues to ensure timely recruitment and career growth
  • Liaise with Finance department to ensure credit procedures are properly carried out
  • Follow department policies procedures and service standards
  • Follow all safety policies
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Salary Range : $79000$105000 USD Gross Annually

Your experience and skills include :

  • Service focused personality is essential and previous leadership experience required
  • Ability to lead by example believe in a strong team culture and set the scene for high performance
  • Highly organized resultsoriented with the ability to be flexible and work well under pressure
  • Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management is an asset
  • Fluency in English
  • Must have the ability to handle a multitude of tasks and Guest requests
  • Knowledge of Opera Property Management System an asset
  • Should possess or seek certification in basic first aid
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities
  • Experience with a Hotel loyalty program an asset
  • Computer proficiency in a Windows environment (Word Excel PowerPoint)

Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to) :

  • Seated computer work including constant keyboarding and mousing
  • Occasional lifting up to 25lbs
