LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently seeking a Lead Database Administrator with our client in the Orlando, FL office for a direct hire opportunity.
Hybrid role in Orlando, FL - 2-3 days in office a week
The Lead Database Administrator will manage all aspects of database operations alongside the Database Manager. This role involves managing a range of Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) in a highly available hybrid environment (on-premises and AWS).
Responsibilities :
Provide overall database administration, including support, maintenance, monitoring, tuning, optimizing, and periodic maintenance.
Handle installations, updates, upgrades, and backups / restores / recovery processes.
Design and analyze SQL Server and PostgreSQL databases, and manage system architecture.
Manage incidents and problem resolution, escalating issues as necessary.
Provide timely database statistics, data, and support for data analytics and other applications.
Oversee operational tasks such as ETL processes, SQL Agent Jobs, and application releases.
Provide development and production support for database and application issues.
Maintain and administer database security access.
Manage DBA-related projects within the organization.
Requirements :
5+ years of experience as a database administrator in SQL Server and other RDBMS environments
Cloud experience AWS or Azure
SQL Server and PostgreSQL database design, system analysis & architecture
Experience with Microsoft Clustering and SQL Server Always On High Availability
Education :
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
Certifications MCSA SQL Server and MCSA Database Administration preferred
Compensation
Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
