The Information Technology team at Russell Tobin & Associates is supporting one of the top Technology client that has an opening for a Senior Technical Writer.
Location : Remote in United States
Pay Rate Range : $55 / hr- $60 / hr on W2, based on experience
Duration : 9+ months contract
Summary :
The main function of a Technical Writer is to write technical materials, such as equipment materials, appendices, or operating and maintenance instructions.
A typical technical writer is responsible for organizing, editing and maintaining technical records and files.
Job Responsibilities :
- Organize material and complete writing assignment according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style and terminology
- Maintain records and files of work and revisions
- Confer with client to establish technical specifications and to determine subject material to be developed for publication
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science or english, journalism, communications
- 10+ years experience required
- Experience in in creating documentation for a technical audience
- Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills
- Ability to read some programming code
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Top 3 Hard Skills Required + Years of Experience
- Minimum 10 years experience with cloud or other tech.
- Minimum 10 years experience with technical writing / communications
- Minimum 10 years experience with manual / instructional writing.
