A Traffic Control Technician deploys and removes traffic control devices, per MUTCD standards, to protect the public and construction crews on the streets and highways.
Traffic Control Technicians often work long and odd hours in a variety of weather conditions including rain and extreme heat or cold.
Duties include but are not limited to :
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more multiple times per day.
- Agility to climb in & out of, and on & off of the flatbed truck multiple times a day.
- A good degree of stamina to remain alert and keep safe while ensuring the safety of motorists, construction workers, and themselves.
Requirements :
- Valid Nevada driver’s license.
- ATSSA Traffic Control Technician Certificate.
- ATSSA Certified Flagger Card.
- ATSSA Traffic Control Supervisor (TCS) Certificate.
- OSHA 30-Hour Card (required to be promoted to TCS).
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test (including recreational marijuana).
- Ability to work nights and weekends, as needed.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Team player.
- Positive attitude.
