Description
We are seeking licensed behavioral health professionals to join our Adult Military and Family Life Counseling (MFLC) team to support Special Operations Command (SOCOM) in a high-pressure environment with unique challenges and demands.
MFLCs provide crucial mental health support to service members and their families, offering counseling, consultation, and outreach.
This role involves face-to-face counseling, coaching, and support for military service members, military families, and military leadership at military-connect events.
In addition, the position offers benefits such as free behavioral healthcare training, reimbursement for job-related license renewal fees, and eligibility to participate in a 401K retirement plan.
Additional Job Duties May Include :
- Responding to emergent situations in any physical location on a military installation
- Traversing long distances to both indoor and outdoor locations, including rugged, outdoor, or uneven locations
- Traveling to locations outside of a military base in a variety of physical environments
Environment :
At the direction of the Department of Defense, duties are performed in multiple indoor locations (approximately 60%) and outdoor locations (approximately 40%) within a military installation.
The outdoor locations frequently involve traversing over uneven grassy, gravel, and / or dirt areas, ascending / descending stairs, and exposure to the weather.
Minimum Requirements :
- A Master's degree or higher in the Behavioral Health Professions (MS / MSW / MA / PhD)
- A valid independent license in the mental health field from any US state or territory (Licensed Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Counselor, Psychologist)
- US Citizenship per government contract
- Must be able to pass and maintain a Secret Level of Clearance
Pay Range $55,250.00 - $99,875.00
