Position Summary :
The primary objective of the Country Manager is to provide effective overall management and the smooth operation of Falck Global Assistance in US, while achieving the company’s financial targets.
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Country Manager to lead our operations in the United States. The ideal candidate will have a strong operational background in global travel assistance exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of driving business growth.
Experience in Travel Insurance or US cost containment for international patients would also be a plus. As the Country Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our business in the US, including sales, 24 / 7 operations, and customer service.
As Country Manager you should be capable of ensuring the infrastructure, practices, resources, and capabilities are in place for Falck Travel and Security Assistance in USA to deliver world class products and services to its customers.
As well as being able to read the strategic landscape, you should also have technical and tactical skill sets to deliver the required objectives.
As Country Manager, you will have the managerial responsibility for a management team of eleven, and the overall responsibility of approximately 100 employees.
The Country Manager will report to Head of Travel & Security Assistance and become part of the Global Management Team with the other country managers.
Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement strategic initiatives, ensuring best tools and practices are utilized effectively and efficiently.
- Staying updated with our competitive market, conducting relevant market research, and ensuring we’re meeting the needs of our customers with innovative solutions.
- Analyze the company’s performance at various levels by setting goals and challenging department leaders to continuously improve performance.
It will be important to feel comfortable challenging how and why we approach objectives the way we do.
- Manage the seasonality of the business, increasing and decreasing workforce as needed.
- Identify where our resources are best utilized and focus on these areas as our strengths. Similarly, identify inefficiencies and ensure they are mitigated or eliminated.
- Review the financial statements with the controller monthly. Identify and activate any action required.
- Review renewals and changes to the customer and other agreements. Involve internal and external expertise as needed.
- Challenge the status quo and support the department leaders and the controller to improve & modernize processes internally, leveraging our existing platforms and databases.
- Optimize the business plan and credit line to improve profitability.
- Closely manage the cashflow, sales and margins.
- Actively manage all aspects of the business to achieve the company’s financial targets as well as develop business in the local market.
- Lead and support the leadership team in managing their areas of responsibility. Support all personnel by creating an environment in which they can better perform their responsibilities and achieve their goals.
- Act as a change agent. We want our US business to operate according to Global Standard Operating Procedures. Use common sense and creative ideas and approaches to solve problems and create business opportunities while maximizing existing resources.
- Actively work as a resource in the ongoing development and maintenance of policies and procedures, aligned with Falck Global Assistance s guidance
- Provide an environment of safety for clients, visitors, and employees and assesses risks to safety and in compliance with set precautions and approved standards.
- Partners with other Falck Global Assistance leaders, and your local management team to development annual plans and budgets to promote and enhance quality and efficiency in operations and the image and credibility of the organization.

- Leadership : 8+ years of relevant, regional, or country leadership experience
- Travel Assistance, travel insurance or cost containment experience desired.
- Proven track record of successfully managing and growing a business unit or country operation.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Hands-on, strategic thinker with the ability to execute and deliver results.
- Financial acumen and experience managing budgets and financial performance.
- Ability to travel as needed.
- You can communicate with the insurance and with a group of large, diversified industry segments fluently.
- Be an exceptional sales leader. This means having achieved exceptional results in your sales career.
- You have closed enterprise-level accounts, with experience selling B2B Corporate sales is a plus.
