If you are a Licensed Florida Building Inspector aiming to grow your career within forensics structural assessments & inspections, then our Building Inspector opportunity will provide you with a fulfilling position having you work with large South Florida clients having you provide Inspections and / or site observations of South Florida restoration work on low-rise and high-rise structures and associated documentation and daily field report writing as may be requested.

This position is based out of NV5’s Hollywood, FL office. This role is hybrid, meaning 2 days in the office, 3 days working from home.

Responsibilities

Other Responsibilities include :

  • Review applicable plans and specifications.
  • Inspect and / or observe conditions including restoration work.
  • Document conditions including daily field reports.
  • Coordinate with Supervisor and / or designated NV5 Engineer.
  • Restoration work may include cast in place concrete, post tension reinforcing, concrete masonry unit construction, waterproofing and other building component.

Qualifications

If you possess the following experience & qualifications, then we encourage you to apply :

  • 10+ years of building inspection experience in new construction, forensics and / or concrete restoration services.
  • Florida General Contractor (GC) license is a plus.
  • Engineering Degree or Architecture Degree is a plus.
  • OSHA Certification is a plus.
