We're hiring a Process Engineer at Charter Wire!

Charter Wire is a leading supplier and manufacturer of Engineered Shaped Wire, Cold Finished Bar, and Cold-Headed and Stamped Components to various industries, including Automotive, Agriculture, Construction, Consumer, Industrial and Oil & Gas. Charter Wire is a member of the Charter Manufacturing family of companies.

Job Summary :

The onsite role of a Process Engineer provides technical leadership to enhance safety, quality, yield, and throughput in manufacturing operations.

This requires collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve or implement new processes, equipment, and materials that improve cost efficiency and customer satisfaction. The position also supports budgeting, installation, and startup of capital equipment in coordination with internal teams and external contractors.

Position specifics :

• Location : Northwest Milwaukee, WI
• Schedule : Days, M-F supporting a 24 / 5 operation

Key responsibilities :

1. Process Engineering Support : Monitors cold heading and stamping all operations to ensure adherence to control plans, validates SPC / MSA data, supports process improvement, and assists in new process development.

2. Manufacturing Engineering Support : Drives equipment and layout improvements, leads machine design, tracks tooling lifecycle, and leads continuous improvement in productivity and uptime.

3. Project Engineering Support : Responsible for the design of equipment and manufacturing processes and components to meet plant requirements including project management, CAD drawings, reliable function, data collection, and project close-out. Projects range from new capital equipment to small redesigns on existing systems.
