Chief Technology Officer

CTO Overview :

Join our dynamic client a leading SaaS document management company, as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO). We are seeking an innovative and strategic leader with a proven track record in managing large technical teams and driving technological advancements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Management Experience :

• Leadership : Over 10 years of experience managing technical teams of 50+ members, including :
• Software development teams for both print and electronic media.
• Network infrastructure teams (15+ members), including network engineers, cybersecurity officers, DevOps engineers, desktop support, and database administrators.
• Offshore development teams (40+ members).
• Quality Assurance teams (15+ members) are a plus.
• Strategic Planning : Expertise in long-term planning and capacity building to scale operations, meet growing client demands, cross-train staff for multi-disciplinary competencies, streamline operations, and eliminate inefficiencies.
• Continuous Improvement : Develop and implement benchmarking criteria and utilize metrics to continuously enhance staff competency.

Establish a merit-based system for promotions, raises, and bonuses.

• Team Cohesion : Foster a collaborative and productive work environment that promotes teamwork, job satisfaction, career growth, and continuous learning.
• Human Resources : Proficient in employee onboarding / offboarding, creating and enforcing SOPs, disciplinary procedures, conflict mediation, and performance evaluations.
• Training and Development : Establish a comprehensive training curriculum to enhance technical competency and knowledge retention.
• Cross-Department Collaboration : Work effectively with other department directors, providing technical support and recommendations to foster inter-departmental coordination.
• Industry Knowledge : Deep understanding of the Financial Services industry, beyond just banks and credit unions, to drive growth and innovation.

2. Fiscal Management :

• Budget Management : Over 10 years of experience managing budgets of $3 million+.
• Preparation of annual budgets with detailed expenses and quarterly reviews.
• Track and process department expenditures, ensure timely invoice payments and address invoice disputes.
• Vendor management, including contract negotiations, renewals, and competitive RFP processes.

3. Project Management :

Project Implementation : Proven success in implementing complex technical projects over $3 million, on time and within budget.

4. Technical Expertise :

• Linux Applications : Extensive experience with Linux-based systems such as Red Hat, Ubuntu, and Mongo.
• Application Migration : Experience in converting and standardizing legacy code for faster deployment; knowledge of Isis-Papyrus or similar tools is a plus.
• Database Management : Proficiency in managing and consolidating databases, with extensive knowledge of Oracle and Postgres.
• Cybersecurity : Experience in DR migration to the cloud and establishing BCP.
• Windows Administration : Expertise in large-scale migrations to MS Office 365 and MS Windows administration.
