Under general direction and supervisionand in accordance with prescription, operates x-ray therapy equipment in orderto simulate and / or treat patients for malignancies and pain.
Responsibilities :
- Documents treatment procedures inpatient’s charts and verifies accuracy.
- Performs quality assurance checksdaily on equipment.
- Performs calculations whenrequired.
- Performs basicdosimetry calculation.
- Bachelor’s degree in RadiationTherapy Technology or graduate of a CAHEA accredited school to RadiationTherapy or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Current registration or registryeligible with the ARRT.Mustsuccessfully complete registry examination in Radiation Therapy within one yearof date of hire.
- Operates all linear accelerators and simulators with minimalsupervision.
