We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Collections Specialist in Fairfax, Virginia. This role involves customer service and collections support in an office setting.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of customer service and collections processes, with a willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities :
- Engage in customer service activities and resolve customer inquiries.
- Monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions to ensure timely payments.
- Follow-up with customers who are past due on their payments through phone calls and emails.
- Maintain accurate records of customer credit applications and accounts.
- Update customer accounts and perform data entry tasks as needed.
- Send out notices to customers via email, voicemail, and mail.
- Utilize MS Office to accomplish tasks and manage customer data.
- Ensure compliance with regulations and maintain a high level of professionalism.
- Adapt to the fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Learn and implement new processes or procedures as required by the role.
- Possess at least 1 year of experience in a similar role
- Demonstrated skills in customer service
- Experience in consumer collections
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and systems
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
- Knowledge of collections regulations and best practices.
