TITLE : SENIOR FINANCIAL ANALYST

Location : ASHBURN, VA

POSITION SUMMARY : Our company is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Financial Analyst to join our team.

The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for supporting and maintaining the accounting and cost management of construction projects.

Your duties and obligations may ultimately change based on the nature of CPG's construction activities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Reviewing and analyzing financial statements and reports.
  • Tracking KPIs and preparing financial reports.
  • Assisting with budgeting and monthly close processes.
  • Understanding key business drivers.
  • Assisting project teams with financial guidance.
  • Developing financial projections and building financial models.
  • Performing research and analysis as required.
  • Ensuring compliance with financial guidelines, company policies, and relevant legal regulations.
  • Develop financial models through benchmarking and process analysis.
  • Forecast quarterly and annual profits.
  • Prepare cost projections.
  • Analyze and report on current financial status.
  • Conduct thorough research of historical financial data.
  • Explore investment options and present risk and opportunities.
  • Coordinate with the CFO and the executive team on long-term financial planning.
  • Compare anticipated and actual results and identify areas of improvement.
  • Participate in budgeting (for departments and projects).
  • Review accounting transactions for data accuracy.
  • Establish financial policies.
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial information and investment decisions.
  • Proven work experience as a Senior Financial Analyst, Financial Analyst or similar role.
  • Hands-on experience with financial and statistical software.
  • Expertise in MS Excel (creating spreadsheets and using advanced formulas).
  • Familiarity with finance databases.
  • Understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning systems (ERP).
  • Up-to-date with accounting laws and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Ability to present financial data using detailed reports and charts.
  • Demonstrable strategic thinking skills.
  • Confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information.

QUALIFICATIONS :

Education / Experience (Desired) :

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in financial planning, analysis, and modeling.
  • Ability to present financial information to a nonfinancial audience.
  • Working knowledge of financial strategies.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Detail-oriented and able to perform in a high-pressure environment.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP, Oracle, or related financial systems.

Computer Skills :

Knowledge with experience using Microsoft Office and ability to navigate various software platforms.
