Material Handler II

JOB SUMMARY

Check in and deliver material for the production department. Post and put away via the system components and finished goods.

Stage completed jobs in the CLE holding area.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Post and put away components and finished goods for Production. Report shortages to Material Handler Lead.
• Weigh and Wrap skids or small cartons. Deliver to the CLE holding area.
• Assist production floor with locating and placement of material. Assist with any special requests from Production leads or managers.

Provide back-up and assistance on the production floor, as needed.

SECONDARY FUNCTIONS

• Housekeeping including cardboard replenishment
• Check-in Material for Production

Picking Function :

• Utilize an RF Scanning device to scan item location and item number bar codes to confirm items picked for Production orders.
• Apply Prod labels to cartons and deliver to appropriate department within Production.
• Palletize cartons and shrink wrap pallets in preparation for shipment.
• Read, understand and follow instructions on a pick ticket.
• Operate an Order Selector, Reach Truck, Fork Truck or Turret Truck (depending on duties assigned)
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of pallet locations. This includes : straightening and organizing cartons, removing empty pallets, shrink wrap and cardboard, closing open cartons and ensuring all items are properly labeled, clean area as you pick.
• Set and use scale to count components.
• Other duties as assigned

• Posting accuracy
• Attendance and punctuality record
• Performance when using Navision
• Timeliness of product delivered to and removed from the Production Department
• Ability to work unsupervised
• Accuracy of paperwork and system entries pertaining to production material
• Average lines picked per day

POSITION TYPE / EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7 : 00 a.m. to 3 : 30 p.m.

Regular attendance is expected and required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma
• Will train

• Tow motor experience
• Computer skills
