POSITION SUMMARY
Great States focuses on acquiring and developing multifamily housing in growing markets across the Midwest and Mountain West.
Our primary focus includes multi-family, adult active living (55+) and single family for rent.
As the Real Estate Transaction Coordinator, you are a high performer that creates successful operational processes. The goal for the Real Estate Transaction Coordinator is to lead the closing of all acquisitions and dispositions.
The Real Estate Transaction Coordinator will work closely with the Company’s Legal Team and Acquisition Team to provide strategic administrative support and coordination in all aspects of real estate transactions.
The Real Estate Transaction Coordinator must be capable of operating independently while managing numerous closings. They must possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as strong written and interpersonal communication skills.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Serve as the primary point of contact for closing once in receipt of executed purchase agreement.
- Serve as the primary point of contact with third party service providers for environmental investigations (e.g., Phase I, Phase II, etc.)
- Manage and monitor pre-close due diligence requirements, evaluate due diligence for suitability, and / or coordinate with experts to conduct substantive review.
- Facilitate transaction closeout process, including creation, oversight and maintenance of property files and records to ensure accurate documentation is collected and filed.
- Establish processes, timelines, and checklists to ensure timely review, completion, and delivery of real estate closing tasks, including due diligence and title review matters.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
5+ years of relevant experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Works well in a fast-paced work environment
- Knowledgeable and willing to ask questions
- Proficiency with computers and data entry
- Experience with real estate transactions
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple transactions simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position requires regular office hours to be maintained along with availability for emergency situations outside of regular office hours.
Travel : 5% Required
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Requires sedentary work involving standing or walking for brief periods, exerting up to 50 pounds of force on a regular basis;
and some dexterity in operating office equipment.
