About this position
The Sr. Manager, Social Media will be responsible for planning, executing and building the company’s marketing strategy across social and new media.
They will evaluate existing channel presence, set strategic goals for growth and manage the social media team to execute against these.
They will work collaboratively with the Plexus marketing team to ensure synergy between communication channels, brand strategy and content creation.
The Sr. Manager will be strategic, thoughtful and creative as well as analytical, ensuring not just engagement on social channels, but a holistic connection into the overall marketing funnel and sales growth.

What you'll do
- You create, manage and execute a comprehensive, targeted social media strategy focused tightly on brand and audience-building efforts for Plexus channels.
- You develop a channel-by-channel strategy including identified goals, audiences, content balance and measure of success for channels including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube and LinkedIn.
- You determine a thought leadership strategy for relevant executives and internal Plexus experts to elevate content strategy and share of voice cross channel.
- You build an integrated social media strategy that works synergistically with PR, communications, creative, email, SMS, digital experience and more to ensure that social media is additive to company goals.
- You manage and lead the social media team to develop content that strategically aligns with content plan, measure success and iterate strategy accordingly.
- You curate relevant content to reach the company’s ideal customers while elevating and focusing the conversation with the audience.
- You collaborate with Plexus marketing teams around the globe to lead strategy and produce a best-in-class social media content library that enhances and grows the Plexus brand around the world.
- You identify and capitalize on new and emerging social trends to enhance Plexus social media audience and engagement.
- You create engaging social media campaigns to support e-commerce, marketing efforts, including product or PR campaigns.
Work cross-functionally with Sales, Events and Marketing teams and other areas to support their initiatives and to build a social-media-savvy culture.
You create strategy and execute creative campaigns to encourage user-generated content in order to grow audience and engagement.
Measure and continually improve social media efforts across all platforms.
- You understand and work towards achieving Google Analytics KPIs.
- You monitor trends in Social Media tools, applications, channels, design and strategy.
- You learn the business needs and goals of our Ambassadors and be strategically focused, detail-oriented, conscientious and committed to driving business growth via strategic social media efforts.
You should have
- Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relation or related field
- You have 5 years of social media experience overseeing creation and deployment
- You have 3 years of experience directly leading people
- You have proven experience driving social media strategies
- You have experience in optimization strategy and execution for social web components
