Case Manager
Sterling Bridge Insurance Agency ("SBIA") is looking for a self-motivated individual for the role of Case Manager, a critical role in the success of SBIA's life insurance distribution strategy. Case Managers serve as the primary liaison between clients and insurance carriers to optimize case issuance and placement. They provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and resolving underwriting issues throughout the application process, whether informal or formal. Case Managers ensure a smooth and efficient experience for all stakeholders by facilitating communication, tracking case progress, and proactively managing any obstacles that may arise.
Position Responsibilities :
- Efficiently manage the submission of life insurance applications to insurance carriers.
- Reconcile outstanding pending case requirements and respond to requests for additional information.
- Deliver high-quality customer service by researching and responding to internal and external inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Utilize multiple system applications to manage both electronic and physical documents, ensuring accurate recording and appropriate storage.
- Oversee the full life cycle of each case in alignment with service standards. Collaborate closely with clients to resolve issues and proactively address potential obstacles.
- Consistently communicate case status using established metrics.
- Ensure timely follow-up with carriers for receipt of compensation once a case is placed.
- Act as the primary liaison between clients and insurance carriers to obtain favorable underwriting outcomes and maximize case placement.
- Partner with carrier underwriters to escalate cases as needed for the best possible offer and policy for the client.
- Provide timely and effective customer service, including answering client questions and resolving underwriting-related issues.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and enhance efficiency.
- Stay informed on industry developments.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred.13+ years of experience supporting life insurance sales or processing.An Insurance License is required. Candidate must obtain State Insurance License within 120 days of employment.Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and foster collaboration with clients, as well as being a reliable team player among colleagues and staff.Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with a professional and persuasive approach.Proven ability to take initiative, manage multiple tasks, follow up proactively, and meet deadlines.Consistently display a pleasant and positive demeanor when interacting with clients, representing the organization with professionalism.Knowledge of and adherence to HIPAA regulations.Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of Personal Health Information (PHI) and knowledge of and adherence to HIPAA regulations.Proficient keyboarding skills using a PC, with accuracy and speed sufficient to maintain workflow. Must demonstrate aptitude for quickly learning new systems.
