Engineering SupervisorThe Engineering Supervisor is responsible to provide direction and oversight of the operations and personnel of the Engineering department.
The Supervisor directly manages personnel, equipment, projects, work loads, resources, and general operations.
Supervise Personnel
Ensure that Engineering personnel are well versed and trained in department policies, trouble shooting methodology, repair techniques, and customer service expectations.
Monitor and evaluate personnel performance. Approve time off requests and payroll reports. Evaluate staffing needs and ensure that employees are effectively equipped and efficiently utilized.
Manage HVAC Equipment
Monitor and coordinate repairs, installation, commissioning, and servicing of Building Automation Systems. Identify equipment deficiencies and sources of failure.
Implement and verify corrective measures that will maintain systems and maximize efficiencies. Evaluate and recommend potential new technologies, systems, and solutions.
Coordinate Projects
Provide general oversight of planning, design, scheduling, implementation, and commissioning. Coordinate project needs with other internal departments, outside vendors, and outside contractors.
Ensure that each project is completed on time and satisfies the requirements.
Manage Engineering Operations
Provide oversight of the department's daily operations. Assign work orders and manage individual work loads. Ensure work orders and daily tasks are carried out effectively and efficiently.
Maintain an awareness of and communication for the status, needs, updates, and critical information of work orders.

Education
College Degree : Mechanical Engineering, Vocational / Trade Degree : HVAC (Required)
Work Experience
5+ years in engineering management, 5+ years in HVAC systems, operations, and controls
Physical Requirements and Skills
Autodesk AutoCAD Mechanical, Building Automation Systems, Capable of standing and walking for long periods of time, Communication, Databasing, Electronic Test Equipment, HVAC Software, Ladders, Leadership, Microsoft Applications, Organizing, Staircases, Technical Documents, Technical Troubleshooting
