Description

The October 2024 Transitional RN Residency for experienced RNs is now accepting applications. The program will start on October 21, 2024.

This position is for experienced RN's wanting to go into a Step Down Residency Training Program with a minimum of 1 year of RN experience in an acute care hospital setting.

Applications must be completed and submitted via the Internet only. Program availability is subject to change and will only run based on organizational needs.

The Registered Nurse is a licensed professional able to demonstrate the following core competencies : assessment, technical skills, communication, critical thinking, interpersonal skills, planning, intervention, evaluation, flexibility, organizational skills, professional accountability, leadership and service.

This course is designed to provide nurses with theoretical knowledge needed to provide holistic family-centered care to patients and family members and is targeted toward registered nurses who are new to high acuity care nursing.

Estimated pay range for this position is $34.38 - $47.79 / hour depending on experience.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates interested in the Step Down Residency must :

  • Have a Current FL RN License
  • Have a current BLS for Healthcare Provider card
  • Have 1 year of current RN experience in a hospital setting (required)
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. All Associate Degree nurses accepted into the program must agree to achieve their BSN degree within 5 years of start date.

Candidates selected for interview will need to provide the following documents :

  • Nursing Diploma or Unofficial Transcript indicating the nursing degree awarded
  • FL RN license
  • BLS for Healthcare Provider card. BLS must be current until 1 / 2025 or later.
