Job Description :
This is a contract to hire, fully onsite role located in Downtown Chicago, IL.
Schedule : Monday through Friday 8 : 30am-4 : 45pm
Please note : This role offers optional overtime for weekend coverage.
Salary : $50,000 to $55,000 per year DOE
Our client, a respected medical nonprofit, is looking for a Catering Coordinator to add to their team!
Catering Coordinator Responsibilities :
- Assist Catering Supervisor with all requests for beverage and catering events with client and catering vendors.
- Assiss Catering Supervisor with accuracy of order and final details including verifying set-up and AV with colleagues.
- Correspond with Catering Supervisor on proper room configuration for catering.
- Assist Catering Supervisor with all deliveries from vendor to ensure order complete and client satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with all local liquor laws, and health and sanitation regulations.
- Keep Catering Supervisor informed of food and beverage issues as they arise.
- Monitor inventory and maintenance of all conference tables and chairs and catering kitchen equipment.
- Ensure inspection of all banquet areas for cleanliness and maintenance on a regular basis
- Ensure stock levels of all necessary meeting materials for conference room usage.
- Source vendors for newer products and maintain costs of new equipment within budget.
- Responsible for ordering all office and meeting room supplies, keeping within budget.
- Assist with conference room reservation using Outlook Calendar
Required Qualifications :
Catering Coordinator Qualifications :
- High school diploma required
- Minimum 3 years of catering experience required.
- Experience with budget tracking required;
- Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office / Teams (Adobe, Word, Excel, and Outlook) and Zoom.
- Food Safety Certification preferred (if not currently certified, the client will assist in acheivement of certification.)
- Ability to lift to thirty pounds.
