Associate or Experienced Quality Engineer (1st Shift) (Level 2 or 3)

Qualifications :

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for Associate or Experienced Quality Engineers (Level 2 or 3) to support the 787 Program Quality Engineering Team based out of North Charleston, South Carolina on 1st Shift!

The Quality Engineering (QE) team at Boeing South Carolina is looking for talented engineers to join our team. QEs work with other engineering functions and the production team to solve complex problems in the Quality Management System.

QEs work close to the product every day and are empowered to think creatively to eliminate defects and improve first pass quality.

QEs lead problem solving and root cause corrective action activities, perform advanced data analysis, and report out to leadership at all levels.

Position Responsibilities :

Analyze engineering documentation to determine process capability and conformance

Perform data analysis of defect trends and present findings and recommendations

Lead projects to identify root cause and eliminate defects and rework

Execute quality build plan changes

Recommend corrective actions to address non-conformances.

Perform engineering change review and verification

Continuous improvement of quality engineering processes

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at Boeing South Carolina (BSC).

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a US Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required.

US Person includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience) :

Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering from an ABET- accredited institution.

1+ years experience in Aerospace, Manufacturing, Quality, or another regulated industry.

1+ years experience applying Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) or other similar rigorous problem / analysis / resolution processes.

1+ years experience managing projects with cross-functional stakeholders and teammates

1+ years experience collecting, organizing and analyzing data, summarizing findings, and developing conclusions.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience) :

3+ years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience working in a Quality Engineering or other production engineering job role.

Experience working with AS9100 and / or similar QMS standard

Experience with analytics tools & software.

Proactive and collaborative mindset with an emphasis on positive relationships.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.

Associate Level 2 : Education / experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.

g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.

g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard

Experienced Level 3 : Education / experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.

g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.

g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation stand

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range for associate level 2 : $73,100 - $98,900.

Summary pay range for experienced level 3 : $88,400 - $119,600.
