Assistant Project Manager

ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER

The Assistant Project Manager will report directly to the Project Manager and the Project Operations Manager.

We are a booming construction company seeking an Assistant Project Manager. Must be aware of and willing to follow all industry standards for safety.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Work directly with project managers to help implement project goals
• Make sure project personnel have current plans and are aware of any plan changes
• Oversee variable aspects of projects and provide direct assistance to ensure timely project execution
• Overview project goals and ensure project goals are achievable
• Liaise with project lead and other project managers to maintain project schedule and efficacy
• Assist with procuring materials and other items necessary for completing project goals
• Review project implementation and gather data on project execution
• Coordinate with PM and Operations managers on subcontractors and suppliers and turn in all critical submittals in a timely manner.

Perform all other functions assigned by the Project Manager

• Make any public notifications and updates as required by the project as well as keeping police, fire dept, public transit, waste management, and post office alerted to traffic control patterns that may disrupt these services.
• Request and follow-up as needed regarding Blue Stakes request.
• Assist project Foremen with Track digital timecard reporting system as needed, including help with IPAD questions.
• Assist PM with T&M change orders. Assist PM with coding of invoices.
• Check GC file share site and update the Change Order, PR, ASI, and Architect's Memo logs weekly and advise Project Manager regarding items that require a response or action by KSC.

Load any updated files to Blue Beam for access by the project team.

• Maintain checklist for all of these logs and reports as they are completed weekly and update PM when these are completed.
• Project Closeout Responsibilities
• Maintain updated punch list for project team.
• Ensure all required closeout submittals have been turned in.

Qualifications for Assistant Project Manager

• Degree in CM or Civil Engineering preferred
• 0-3 years of proven and successful experience in the construction industry
• Verifiable leadership experience and capabilities, with past successful project execution
• Ability and desire to work collaboratively to ensure successful project execution
• Working knowledge of necessary industry-related tools
• Expert-level experience with computer operating systems, such as Microsoft and MacOS
• Proven ability to generate and deliver reports that provide useful insight into project details
• Highly organized and detail-oriented with a passion for ensuring projects proceed efficiently and effectively.
