Automation Solutions Specialist

Job Description :

As an Automation Solutions Specialist, your primary responsibility will be implementing customized automation solutions in various industries and ensuring the smooth and safe operation of industrial processes through control systems.

In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance process performance, reliability, and safety by configuring control systems.

The Automation Solutions Specialist will collaborate with clients and vendors to ensure that project tasks are executed within the established scope, in line with project goals and objectives.

This position requires expertise in industrial-specific technical knowledge and programming best practices. You will serve as a valuable representative of our company, implementing automated programming and processes to ensure successful project execution at customer sites.

Responsibilities :

• Lead and perform various project-related engineering services including project management, project estimation, control system design and programming, and system and functional documentation, as well as startup and commissioning.
• Provide technical leadership and influence engineering project decisions.
• Oversee the design and implementation of complex projects.
• Utilize programming skills on both PLC and DCS platforms, such as ABB System 800xA, Rockwell ControlLogix / PlantPAx platforms, and Emerson DeltaV.
• Act as the main technical point of contact with customers, addressing concerns and providing expert guidance.
• Offer technical support and maintenance for existing control system platforms at client facilities.
• Provide technical sales support to our sales team.
• Travel to client facilities for technical sales support, project review, and implementation as needed.
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging automation technologies.
• Analyze project requirements, propose solutions, and assist the estimator with resource needs.

Skills & Qualifications :

• Minimum of 7+ years of hands-on experience.
• Ability to interpret electrical control panel drawings, electrical schematics, P&IDs, and other engineering drawings.
• Proficiency in designing and implementing industrial automation systems.
• Strong project management and leadership skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Effective team player.
• Ability to provide training and support as needed.
• In-depth knowledge of the role and required job duties.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Education in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or related field.
