REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS
- Food and beverage products, preparation and handling techniques.
- Health codes, food sanitation and safety practices.
- Principals of providing customer service including customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for service and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
- Standard cash handling procedures.
- Establish and maintain effective professional, courteous, constructive relationships with guests, staff and management team.
- Communicate effectively in the English language by speaking clearly and concisely.
- Add, subtract, multiply and divide quickly and accurately to handle money, give correct change, balance till and prepare cash drops.
- Demonstrate proficiency with Point of Sale (Micros preferred) computer system or similar.
- Maintain a neat and clean appearance to meet hotel standards and represent the hotel positively.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Multi-task and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.
- Serve alcohol responsibly.
- Meet attendance requirements with dependability and consistency.

- One year of culinary or related food-handling experience preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Marriott brand hotel experience a plus
- Valid Food Handlers Permit required.
- Valid Alcohol Server Permit (optional).
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
Medium Work : Must be able to stand, walk, bend, grasp, lift and carry exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and / or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and / or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Position requires ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours to move around bistro area transporting food items on a continuous basis throughout shift or stand behind front desk for up to 8 hours, visual acuity to analyze written information and view computer terminal and ability to express or exchange information by means of the spoken word.
