Job Summary :

The Operations Project Manager is crucial to ensure the smooth operation and success of our Community Development (Sales) Team and is critical in moving opportunities through the sales cycle.

Your responsibilities include pre-sale implementation, post-sale implementation, oversight, and involvement in the deployment of physical shelter villages and Post Deployment relationships until hand off to other functions.

A key function is to collaborate with customers on site selection, infrastructure cost estimates, code compliance, regulatory barriers, and timelines.

Supervisory Responsibilities :

Build, mentor and manage a strong team which includes :

  • Recruit, hire, and train new staff. (Deployment team)
  • Oversee workflow and process development of the team.
  • Provide constructive and timely performance feedback.
  • Handle discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.

Duties / Responsibilities :

  • Oversee the Master Schedule and conduct weekly meetings.
  • Grasp the Pallet story and the shelter village model.
  • Cultivate relationships with current deployment partners.
  • Build familiarity with our engineering and manufacturing teams to grasp the intricacies of the product and assembly process.
  • Serve as the product expert and liaison between Pallet manufacturing, sales and deployment teams and external partners to include General Contractor / Public Works and work through code compliance issues and deployment timelines.
  • Communicate with internal teams and customers on building codes, land use and permitting practices and standards, and infrastructure availability requirements in multiple municipalities or willingness to learn them throughout North America
  • Create feedback loops with engineering and manufacturing teams.
  • Serve as the sole point of contact with the customer after a signed contract is received.
  • Coordinate and schedule initial kick-off call for deployment with all involved parties.
  • Six weeks prior to each deployment, coordinate team selection for the build, anticipate additional staffing needs, and confirm shipping dates with the internal team.

Communicate relevant information to the Sales team partner.

  • Coordinate team travel organization, including booking accommodations, meals, and assigning personnel to different projects.
  • Report and track accountability to deployment budgets.
  • Arrange post-deployment meetings to review deployment reports, identify process inefficiencies, manufacturing errors, and address unexpected issues.
  • Collaborate with team members to assess operational effectiveness and drive changes in processes for improved efficiency.
  • Foster the development of your team(s), providing opportunities for learning and upward mobility.
  • Contribute to product development initiatives.
  • Partner closely with the Community Development team and assume responsibility for all customer interactions post-contract closing.

Bonus Points

  • Construction and or architecture experience.
  • Personal lived experience in Pallet's focus humanitarian response fields (homelessness, incarceration, or substance use disorder, refugee response, disaster displacement) or relevant experience working with marginalized populations.

Physical Requirements :

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Walking and standing on hard surfaces occasionally.
  • Ability to lift 10lb occasionally.
  • May have to wear safety attire or protective steel toed shoes and safety glasses when on sites or in the warehouse.
  • Usually work indoors.
  • May share workspace with others.

Travel :

  • This position requires moderate to extensive travel, both domestic and possibly international, based on business needs.
  • Travel estimated at 25%, with potential peaks up to 50%.
  • Ability to travel on short notice (less than 48 hours).

Location : This job may be remote, hybrid or based at our Everett HQ depending on the ideal applicant choice.

Eligible employees (and their families) can enroll in medical, dental, vision (employer covers 90% of individual cost). Other benefits include basic life, short- and long-term disability insurance.

Employees can enroll in supplemental life and our 401k plan. Employees will start to receive up to 15 days per year (4.615 hours per pay period) and up to nine paid holidays throughout the calendar year.

PAY RANGE

Our target HIRING range for this role is $88,688 to $110,860 annually. The entire pay range for this position is $88,688 - $133,032;

however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base pay information is based on market location
