Job Description
Wecurrently have an opening for a Project Manager in our ColdFormedSteel Group at our Brookfield WI location. The successful candidatewill have numerous project management and client developmentresponsibilities to help grow our ColdFormed Steel Group.
What you willbe doing :
- Organize and manage structural design effortsfor multiple simultaneous projects while maintaining projectbudgets.
- Manage andreview structural engineering drawings for assigned projects / workassignments including the preparation of plans schedules anddetails
- Reviewstructural systems of primarily coldformed steel framing for avariety of healthcare commercial retail multifamily residentialindustrial and institutional buildingsnationwide
- ReviewStructural calculations for submittal
- Manage CAD and BIM Technicians to produceshop drawings and BIM models
- Manage engineers on the team on largerprojects
- Assist withtraining and mentoring team members and technical skills trainingfor professional growth and development
- Assist with plan review for teammembers
- Communicatewith clients and maintain project schedules and designbudgets
- Help leadbusiness development efforts for coldformed projects includingidentifying new opportunities and writingproposals.
- Developand manage a portfolio of clients.
- Perform and lead the structural design ofvarious building design projects. This includes development ofstructural design documents calculations andspecifications.
- Perform construction administrationduties.
Experience you willneed :
- Bachelors of Science degree in CivilEngineering with a focus in Structural Engineering.
- Minimum of ten (10)years of professional experience in structural design of coldformedsteel building structures. Some experience with oversight is aplus.
- Extensiveknowledge of coldformed steel design and light steelframing.
- Strongworking knowledge of AISI standards for coldformed steel framingprojects.
- Haveability to develop innovative solutions for complexproblems.
- Leadershipmentality and ability to work well withothers.
- Goodengineering judgement and decision making.
- Professional Engineer Licensure required.Illinois Structural Engineer Licensurepreferred.
- Workingknowledge of various structural analysis and design programsincluding CFS Designer & RISA.
