The Custodian is responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and pleasant environment for the dealership employees and customers.

Responsibilities

• Cleans work areas, empties trash, and collects scrap and used materials to process in accordance with company policy and local, state, and federal regulations
• Performs routine building maintenance
• Sweeps, vacuums, mops & operates company supplied floor scrubber
• Cleans all signs, posters, service signs, mirrors, fans, and vending machines
• Maintains hot beverage areas by cleaning counter surfaces, sink & tables
• Cleans bathrooms and restock / refill soap, paper supplies as needed
• Cleans driveway and sidewalks, removing snow and debris as necessary
• Empties and cleans lunchroom refrigerator once a week
• Empties and cleans all trash receptacles, interior and exterior
• Removes all debris from dealership lots
• Cleans oil storage tanks according to procedure
• Drains and disposes of used oil filters properly
• Removes and disposes of scrap materials as directed
• Assists Technicians with oil and water spills and with emptying drain tubs
• Communicates with Supervisor if additional work is needed
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications :

• High School Diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent
• Proficient knowledge of cleaning equipment and agents
• Able to work safely with a variety of cleaning agents and chemicals
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Handle basic maintenance, building repairs, cleaning, and other custodian work
• Able to use basic cleaning equipment
• Physically agile and dexterous
• Available to work after hours
• Outstanding organizational skills
• Work well when supervisors are not present
• Ability to lift minimum of 50 pounds
