POSITION SUMMARY :
You will perform preventive maintenance and repair of heavy duty vehicle fleet and related equipment. You will make sure that the equipment is safe and well maintained as they play a major function in handling operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
As a Heavy Duty Mechanic, you must be able to :
- Ensure preventive maintenance of our heavy duty vehicle fleet and related equipment : small and big forklifts, service / tow trucks, scissorlifts, genie-boom, and small engines
- Troubleshoot and fix problems of all kinds
- Adjust, replace, and fix various parts of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
- Maintain engine operations
- Inform the Maintenance supervisor of the engines status
- Recondition engines, transmissions, big / small forklift mast, etc
- Read and understand the maintenance and repairs manuals
- Perform others duties as assigned (welding, cutting, lubricating, etc)

RequirementsREQUIREMENTS :
Must be able to :
- Climb stairs and ladders; work at heights
- Lift and carry between 30-50 lbs
- Stand and walk for long periods of time
- Bend, kneel, squat, twist, reach
- Work above shoulders
- Tolerate exposure to weather, hot / cold environments
- Work in a confined space
- Work rotating shifts (5 / 4, schedule 1,2,3, including working during the week and the week-ends)
- Must provide his own tools
ASSETS :
